Day in the life | Photography Exam Photoshoot

Moving on from my last post, Here is a vlog of the process that went into the actual photoshoot
Again, special thanks to Livity Studios & to my friends who gave up their spare time to model for me !!! Barbara Kim for filming and to my friend Chewie who is an artist himself for advicing & guiding me when editing the final pictures.

Photo Manipulation | Earth Goddess

Here is a short video of how my editing process of photography exam is like~
The theme of my exam is 'Eyes' My main inspirations for this project are Benjamin Vnuk & Man Ray. This will be a 2-3 day shoot and during this, i want to be able to do some responses to my chosen artists as well as my final outcome. My idea is to create dramatic makeup inspired by the Greek mythological elements (Air, Water, Earth & Fire) which specifically focuses on only the eyes. I also want each model to have a corresponding background to their element. Beforehand, I created specific looks based on each element

*NOTE*
The edits are not my final outcome, They are made to contribute to actual final outcome (Which has not yet been created) I'm currently unsure of the exact date but I know its after Easter Holidays and the duration of the exam is 5 HOURS ONLY

WINNER OF KBS [Korea, My Love] Contest (3rd Place)

WASSUP!

I have some exciting news for you today okay maybe you can already tell from the title...FAIL!

HAHA YASS I entered to KBS [Korea, My Love] Contest about a month ago and if you follow me on Facebook or Instagram or maybe watch my videos you would have seen my entry. 

But if you didn't here is it again:

OML in a billion years I never expected any of this to happen at all!

I remember when I first heard of the contest on KakaoTalk Plus and I really hesitated before entering. I went on KLUE and asked for some advice and alot of my friends told me to enter with my drawings and so I did but i doubted that someone who even notice me but yesterday morning I got this email and screamed, cried and started shaking outta disbelief:

Like it says out of 4200+ entries over 117 different contries, I was managed to be selected pishhh & not only that but I was the only person from the UK that placed 3rd in the video contest. From my previous posts, you can already tell I hate the fact I am not extremely talented at drawing and I always give up but this email changed it all. Now I am ready to face the facts that someone important appreciates my talent and iI finally have to courage to continue fighting for my dream. And I know I didn't win first place but I'm still grateful I got selected because stuff like this never happens.

I wanna say thank to everyone on here who wished me all the best of luck & gave me support THANK YOU!!!

I can't even stop crying outta complete happiness

KBS [Korea, My Love] Contest Entry: CL Speed Painting

Hai!

Today, I entered KBS ( which is one of the biggest out of the four major South Korean television networks) contest called Korea, My Love.

It is held every year and its pretty simple, all you have to do is express your love for Korea like how you first came to experience the country?, what things do you like about it? (Culture or people wise) How does Korea inspire you?. This was my first time entering it I found out through KBS Kakaotalk plus friend (Kakaotalk is an SNS and Plus Friend is latest new from celebs or stuff) you get me....

I was pretty hesistant of entering at first because I just felt it was kinda pointless when you enter international contest. If you seen my past entries on Gurupop I have never won once soo its pretty frustrating to put so much effort in yet loose /cries/. After I posted on KLUE and spoke a couple members/friends for advice I ended up changing my mind and entering.

It pretty much tells you of the 3 different options to enter the contest.

You can enter all three but only have one entry per section :)

My first plan was just to enter only video section by making a vlog taking about how I first came to experience the country but after watching the videos of last year's winner was like NAHH!! I need to make something more exciting and eye-catching so instead I decided to submit the speed painting video I did during my college art exam. Here is my entry:

Helloah!

In my intro post I did tell you that I was a digital artist but that doesn't mean I still don't do traditional art because I do but just not a lot haha.

Anywoos, I take requests on both Instagram & Facebook~ 

My friend [Candace] kept requesting me to draw her bias for her because she "Likes my artwork so much" >///<

Yesterday I finally had time to do it but let me tell you my struggle okay:

I suck at drawing portraits LOOL and I haven't used pencils in almost 6 months due to doing digital art most of the time made it really difficult to draw this because I'm not used to pencils drawing at all. 

The amount of times I wanted to give up was REAL!! I had no sleep because it took around 12 hours to complete ughh! but anyways, if you like this?^^ & want to request something just leave a comment~

Basically on my YouTube channel I held a contest last month for my fans

The 2nd Drawing was done one month after the 1st one & you can see the huge difference on my skills.

I'm so happy that I am actually seeing an improvement in my work. I was actually meant to draw two of them on the same month but summerwork got to me and I held it back.

Casually drowning in Graphics summerwork ㅠㅠ

As some of you know, I study art subjects because I want to be a professional artist duhh!

LOL so basically I just finished my first year of college and usually as we waiting for our results we get a shizz ton of homework to complete because teachers think we have absolutely nothing else to do during our summer break -__- And for some reason, in my college if you study art your summerwork counts towards your final grade

How I know this is because when I enrolled the teachers told us that we had to complete it but didn't say anything about it been added to our grades until the first lesson omds & me being an idiot as always thought it wouldn't matter because it's not like they will check or anything....erm NO SARIE! They actually did check and i fell behind because of this (I can guarantee you i have lost a lot of marks already).

But moving on, because this is my 2nd and final year I actually vowed to take my education seriously (lawl I can't even keep a straight face typing this). So I decided start my summerwork excatly the day it was set NERD MUCH?

I have 4 different subjects to do in total (i know you are thinking that's not a lot but don't be mistaken) I'm seriously struggling hereㅠㅠ
I decided to start with graphics since this one of the subjects I took highly for granted when i knew i wanted to keep studying it. I will post up each subjects in a seperate post XD

For le Graphics A2 work: It's bascially personal YAAY!...Errm no
It's f**king harder this way because we are not told what to do (as in we don't have a checklist)

~plz tell how I will function?~

We are all given a general topic 'Discovery & Exploration' & we can pick a theme of our choice and do anything as long as our final outcome is good and well evidenced & I choose the theme 'Fashion'

So bascially I'm here to just show you my crappy sketchbook of what I have done so far haha. Tbh I am actually shocked with myself because I haven't practiced drawing since my exams which was 4 months ago & magically my skills had improved...No comment~
